The front half of the downstairs is the lounge area. It contains a TV with adjustable stand, hung on the wall, together with a DVD player. Internet is provided for your devices, but with regard to streaming services on the TV you will need to use your own streaming accounts. (Remember to log out of all streaming services before you leave!) There is an electric fire/convector available, and on the right as you enter the property are the stairs to the first floor.
Forming the split between the lounge and dining area is the sofa bed (for instructions on how to use this please see the Welcome File in the property).
Along with the dining table and chairs there is a Shelving Unit. This contains a wide selection of books and games, and mats and coasters. There are 8 box files in which we have catalogued the leaflets for the area as well as maps and walk books. There is also space for you to store your belongings. There is a convector heater on the back wall.
On the table you should find the Welcome File with lots of useful information about the area. This file also contains inventory lists and instructions on how to turn the sofa into a bed, and back into a sofa. There are also instructions on how to use other items of equipment. Finally, it also contains directions to shops, churches and launderettes, together with a list of emergency telephone numbers.
Front – this contains a double bed with duvet, bedside cabinets together with lamps, and a fitted wardrobe.
Back – this contains two standard single beds with bedside table and lamp. There is also a chest of drawers for clothes storage
Both bedrooms have a wall mounted convector heater. Linen-wise you will need to bring sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea-towels. For the front bed duvet you will need top sheet and/or a kingsize duvet cover.
This has been completely refurbished with a walk-in shower, toilet, and basin. In the cupboard under the basin is the remainder of the cleaning stock. The room is tiled floor-to-ceiling. There is a shaver socket and an illuminated mirror over the basin.
Trewent Park and Surrounding Area
The property is situated on a village comprised of holiday homes. The whole village is built on one side of a small valley with our property about halfway back and up to one side, so it is not overlooked. There is parking marked out in designated bays and there are ten steps to climb up to our terrace. The beach is about 250yds away, within sight of the front door, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path lies between us and the beach.
Trewent Park is a relaxed village environment without the hustle and bustle of other more ‘facility-driven’ holiday locations. You will find a pub/restaurant at the entrance, but other than that you really are in the quiet of the natural beauty of South Wales.
Local Area
Freshwater East is a secluded village with a wonderful beach. As such, the nearest shop is 2 miles away with the nearest large town being picturesque Pembroke about 4 miles away. This has all the amenities you would expect of a market town including a Co-op supermarket and a greengrocers. Just through Pembroke a couple of miles further on there is Pembroke Dock with an Aldi, an Asda and a large Tesco Extra at Pembroke Dock. There is one bus route which goes through Freshwater East. Timetables are available in the property.
Having been visiting Pembrokeshire with a growing family for 20 years, we have sampled much of what the county and surrounding area has to offer. Please feel free to ask us for any information you may require or should you wish to enquire about a booking.
